Co Down Orange hall targeted in ‘hate crime’

Criminal damage at an Orange hall in Co Down is being treated as a hate crime, police have said.

The overnight sectarian graffiti attack took place at the hall on Lisburn’s Hillhall Road sometime overnight on Tuesday.

A PSNI spokesman said: “Police are treating this as a hate crime and I am appealing for anyone with any information about this incident to contact police at Lisburn on 101 quoting reference number 1406 of 03/08/16.

“Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
