Families moved from homes in NI security alert

A security alert has seen a number of homes evacuated in a NI town.

A PSNI spokesman the security alert is ongoing in Lurgan.

Cornakinnegar Road has been closed between its junctions with North Circular Road and Tarry Lane while police examine a suspicious object.

A number of homes have been evacuated as a precaution.
