Belfast Trust this morning confirmed that 13-year-old Oisin McGrath is still listed as ‘critically ill’ at the Royal Victoria Hospital.

They said another report on his condition would be available around 3pm.

Last night reports circulating on social media suggested that the teenager had “passed away”.

Fermanagh GAA @FermanaghGAA on Wednesday night tweeted: “We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the McGrath family on the death of Oisin McGrath. Our thoughts are with all of Belcoo GFC”.

The youngster was injured after an incident at a Co Fermanagh grammar school - St Michael’s College, Enniskillen - on Monday.

A 17-year-old youth, a sixth former at the school, was detained by the PSNI following the incident.

He was later released on bail pending further inquiries.
