Four men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after man sustains serious head injuries - victim in critical condition in hospital

Detectives are investigating the serious assault in the area of the Laharna Retail Park in Larne.

A report was received at around 9.30pm on Monday evening that a man, aged in his 40’s, had been assaulted by a number of males.

The man sustained serious head injuries as a result of the assault and was taken to hospital where he remains today in a critical condition.

Officers investigating the incident have arrested four men aged 25, 29, 31 and 45 on suspicion of attempted murder.

All four men are currently in custody assisting with police enquiries.
