Fresh arrest over drugs seizures from several months ago


Detectives have searched a house and arrested a man in connection with drug seizures dating back several months.

The officers, from Reactive and Organised Crime Branch, were investigating the seizures of cocaine at Nutts Corner in November 2015, and Central Station in Belfast in February 2016.

They announced on Wednesday that they had arrested a 34-year-old man following the search of a house at Millrush Drive, Portstewart.

The arrest took place this morning.

Detective Inspector Tom McClure said: “The man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a class A drug and being concerned in the supply of a class A drug and is currently in custody helping police with our enquiries.”
