Hungarian man extradited to NI to stand trial on dangerous driving offence

A Hungarian national has been extradited to NI to stand trial on the offence of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily injury.

Officer from the PSNI extradited the 28-year-old yesterday following his arrest on February 12 in Copenhagen, Denmark on foot of a European Arrest Warrant obtained by the PSNI.

He is wanted to stand trial in Northern Ireland for an offence of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily injury. This relates to a road traffic collision that occurred on March 13, 2015 on the Magheraknock Road, Ballynahinch.

He will appear before Laganside Magistrate Court today.
