A north Belfast memorial dedicated to three Scottish soldiers murdered by the IRA 1971 has been vandalised for the 21st time.

Nigel Dodds of the DUP described the paint attack on the small stone tribute, located at White Brae in the Ligoniel area, as an “utterly disgraceful” act of “sectarian thuggery”.

Ulster Unionist north Belfast spokesman Andy Allen said the incident was cowardly and an “absolute disgrace”.
