Man, 18, in intensive care after Belfast crash

An 18-year-old man is in intensive care after a head on collision in west Belfast.

A Ford Fiesta and a Peugeot 307 were involved in the crash on the Colinglen Road at around 10.35pm last night, police said.

The 18-year-old male driver of the Fiesta and two passengers, a 20-year-old male and an 18-year-old female, were all taken to hospital. The male passenger is understood to be in ICU receiving treatment for a serious head injury.

The 22-year-old woman driver of the Peugeot and a 19-year-old woman passenger were also taken to hospital, however none of their injuries were life threatening.

Inspector Roberta Morris said: “We are keen to hear from witnesses or anyone who was travelling on the Colinglen Road and who saw either vehicle prior to the collision. The number to call is 101.”
