Man armed with iron bar robs off licence


Detectives are appealing for information after a man armed with an iron bar robbed an off licence in Londonderry.

The incident happened around 10pm last night in Sackville Street.

Detective Constable Richard Donnell said: “A man entered the premises, armed with an iron bar, at around 10pm on Tuesday evening and demanded money from staff. A small sum of cash was handed over and the man then fled the scene on foot. The man was described as being around 5ft 8in tall, of medium build and was wearing a white, red and navy coloured hooded top, black bottoms and black trainers. There were no reports of any injuries.”
