Man armed with knife steals cash during Belfast robbery

A man armed with a knife has made off with cash during a robbery of a shop in the Stormont area of east Belfast.

Around 6.45pm on Tuesday, December 16, the man entered the premises and threatened staff.

He is described as wearing a 3/4 length black jacket with red writing and is thought to have made off on foot in the direction of Abbey Park.

Detective Constable Deirdre Mahony said: “I would ask anyone with any information about this incident to contact CID at Musgrave Police Station on the non emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
