A 31-year-old man has been arrested after cocaine with a street value of £150,000 was seized in Lisburn.

Detectives from Reactive and Organised Crime Branch, working with officers from Lisburn and Castlereagh City’s District Support Team, made the seizure during a proactive search at a house in the Hillsborough Road area of Lisburn this morning (September 16).

A suspected firearm was also seized.

PSNI District Commander for Lisburn and Castlereagh City, Superintendent Sean Wright said: “This successful operation which was carried out by specialist detectives and our own officers in the district is an excellent example of how we use all resources available to tackle criminality. The issue of illegal drugs is a priority for PSNI in this district and I believe my colleagues in Reactive and Organised Crime Branch and uniformed officers are making a significant impact on the illegal drugs trade.”
