Man arrested in Peggy O’Hara funeral probe

A 39-year-old man has been arrested by detectives investigating offences committed at the wake and funeral of Peggy O’Hara in Londonderry in July.

The man was arrested in the Clady area of Co Londonderry this morning.

The suspect has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave Police Station for questioning.

To date 11 men and two women have been arrested by detectives investigating events at the paramilitary funeral.

Mrs O’Hara’s 23-year-old son - Patsy O’Hara - died after 61 days on hunger strike in 1981.
