Man arrested over 2014 murder of senior republican Tommy Crossan

A 44-year-old man has been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of a former senior figure in the Continuity IRA in west Belfast last year.

Tommy Crossan, 43, was shot dead in April last year at a business park on the Springfield Road.

PSNI Detective Chief Inspector John McVea said the man was detained in the Armagh area on Wednesday and has been taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
