Man charged with attempted murder after Mount Vernon flat assault

A 29-year-old man is expected to appear in Belfast Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm and two counts of threats to kill after a man was seriously injured in a flat in north Belfast.

The man has been charged in connection with an incident where a 24-year-old man sustained injuries in Ross House, Mount Vernon, Belfast on December 28.

The victim was discovered with head and facial injuries in a bedroom at Ross House.

A 41-year-old woman appeared in court on New Years Eve charged with the attempted murder of her son.
