A 28-year-old man has today been extradited from the Republic of Ireland to Northern Ireland.
Police in Northern Ireland want to speak to him in connection with a serious assault that occurred in the North Belfast area on 17 January 2015.
He is due to appear at Laganside Magistrates’ Court today.
It is understood the arrest is linked to a stabbing on the Antrim Road in 2015.
A 25-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening stab wounds and a 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon with intent.
