A Belfast man has appeared in court accused of having a crossbow and hunting knife in the city centre.
Duane Cunningham was allegedly carrying the weapons when he was arrested in the Castle Lane area on Sunday.
The 27-year-old, of Inishowen Drive, faces charges of possessing an offensive weapon and a blade or point in a public place.
As he stood in the dock at Belfast Magistrates’ Court, it was put to him that he had a crossbow and eight bolts at the time.
The hunting knife was said to have a four inch-long blade.
Cunningham confirmed he understood the charges against him.
He was granted bail after police indicated they were not opposing his release.
District Judge Fiona Bagnall ordered him to report to the PSNI three times a week.
Cunningham is due back in court on November 23.
