A Co Down man was remanded into custody yesterday accused of supplying heroin.
Standing in the dock of Downpatrick Magistrates Court, 40-year-old Patrick Pascal Mason spoke only to confirm that he understood the two charges against him.
Mason, from Castle Street in Strangford, is accused of simple possession of Class A heroin, and being concerned in the supply of heroin on dates between August 17 and 21 this year.
His solicitor did not apply for bail. Deputy District Judge Marshall remanded the alleged dealer into custody to appear again on September 24 via videolink.
The charges come after heroin with a street value of £14,000 was found in the Strangford area in an operation involving the National Crime Agency.
A 33-year-old woman who was arrested with Mason was released unconditionally.
