Man injured in BB gun attack in Belfast

Detectives are appealing for information following an incident in south-west Belfast in which a man was shot with what is thought to be a BB gun.

The 33-year-old victim was shot with it at about 7.10pm on Friday, and received injuries to his face and abdomen.

It happened at Iverna Street.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

The assailant made off on foot in the direction of Donegall Road.

Detective Sergeant Dolores Black said: “I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact Detectives at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101.”
