Meat worth £7k stolen from Cullybackey butchers

A large quantity of meat has been stolen from a family butchers in Cullybackey.

Around thirty boxes of steak, worth in the region of £7,000, were taken by thieves who forced their way into the Dreen Road property sometime between 8.30pm on Wednesday and 7am on Thursday.

The boxes each have ‘Topping Meats’ written on them.

A power washer and a sum of cash were also taken.

Police said they are keen to hear from anyone who is offered meat for sale in unusual circumstances.
