Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the report of a burglary at a residential premises in the Shore Crescent area of Belfast.
Detective Sergeant McCambridge said: “It was reported that on the evening of Tuesday, January 7, four masked men with bats forced their way into a residential premises in the Shore Crescent area of Belfast.
“The four masked males made off with a set of car keys in the direction of the Shore Road. The male home owner received treatment for injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.”
He added: “We are appealing to anyone that may have any information or to anyone that may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1014 on 07/02/17.
“Or, alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
