Police in Scotland are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a missing man who they said may be trying to come to Ireland.

John Jeffrey Flynn, 48, left the Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert at around 7.20am on Saturday.

The police said: “It is not known where the taxi dropped Mr Flynn off. However, there is a possibility that he may be attempting to reach Ireland.”

He suffers from diabetes and does not have his medication.
