Nurse ‘kicked in face’ and ‘two paramedics threatened’ by man receiving treatment in NI hospital

A man has been arrested at the Royal Victoria hospital after he kicked a female nurse in the face, a post on Police North Belfast Facebook page has revealed.

The post adds that the patient ‘threatened two more ambulance paramedics’ as ‘they attempted to help him after receiving facial injuries during an earlier altercation'.

The post adds: "Police were required to restrain this male whilst staff continued to tend to his medical needs.

"The male was then further arrested for a number of detected drug offences and transported to Musgrave custody suite.

"A search of his premises authorised by an Inspector was carried out during which a large quantity of ready to go bags of suspected cannabis were uncovered along with other drug paraphernalia.

"The suspect will now not only be questioned about assaulting medical staff but about their suspected involvement in the supply of class B drug and other offences".
