Police hunt man who held phone over Bangor pool changing cubicle

A call has been made to trace a man who held a mobile phone over the side of a changing cubicle at a swimming pool.

Police in the Ards and north Down area are appealing for the public’s help to identify the man, following the incident at around 3pm on August 15 at the Aurora centre in Bangor.

The PSNI said that a woman was in a communal changing area with her two sons, “when one of the boys noticed that a mobile phone was being held over the side of a cubicle ... the mother challenged the male holding the phone”.

The man then left. He is described as aged between 20 and 30, swarthy, with heavy, dark stubble and short jet-black hair.

He is around 5ft 8ins tall, and at the time he was wearing red shorts with a darker red stripe up the sides, a grey T-shirt with a logo on the left side, and Adidas trainers.

The phone was described as being purple and from the maker Samsung.

Anyone who recognises this description is asked to contact police in Bangor on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111,
