Police keen to hear from females who assisted Carrickfergus assault victim

Detectives investigating a serious assault that occurred in Carrickfergus last June are appealing for information.

The assault took place in the Nelson Street area of the east Antrim town on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 between 10pm and 11.15pm.

Detective Constable Cupples said; “A physical altercation occurred involving two male suspects and a female victim. The victim ran off from Nelson Street towards Queen Street where a passing female motorist with two female passengers assisted her.

“Despite enquiries to date, we have been unable to identify the motorist and passengers who assisted the victim and would appeal to them to contact us as they may be able to assist us with our investigation.”
