PSNI appeal after pair point suspected firearm at female in shop

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the report of a robbery at a shop in the New Lodge Road area of Belfast on Monday night, December 7.

Detective Sergeant Duffield said: “At around 10:50 pm, two unknown men entered a shop in the area. One of the men was armed with a suspected firearm, he pointed it at a female member of staff before both males made off from the store empty handed.

“The man believed to be armed with a suspected firearm, was described as being approximately 5’10” of medium build wearing a black coat with a hood up, dark trousers and a green bandana covering his face. He is believed to have been carrying a small grey Nike bag around his waist.

“The second man is described as being 6ft in height, of medium build, wearing grey trousers, a black hoodie and a black snood face covering with a small blue bag around their waist.”
