A sawn off shotgun was found in Dundonald cemetery by members of the public, a PSNI spokesman has said.
The discovery was made on Saturday afternoon (June 20).
“Members of the public discovered the weapon and contacted police who moved the weapon to safety then away for analysis,” a PSNI spokesman said.
“There is now an investigation ongoing as we seek to establish where the weapon came from and for how long it had been there.
