Suspected shotgun blast struck front door of Belfast home


The PSNI said that a front door of a house has been damaged by gunfire.

It happened at Springfield Avenue in the west of the city on Thursday evening at around 8pm.

Detective constable Gareth Hussey said: “Upon examination of the scene it is believed that a shotgun cartridge has been discharged, causing the damage.

“There was no-one inside the house at the time of the incident and there have been no reports of any injuries.”
