Teenager shot in leg by three masked men in west Belfast

An 18-year-old man has been shot twice in the leg after three masked men entered a fast food outlet in west Belfast on Thursday night.

Shortly before 9pm,the men took the teenager to the rear of the premises close to the junction of Falls Road and Thames Street where he was attacked.

The men, described as being dressed in black and wearing balaclavas, made off on foot along Thames Street.

Detective Inspector Jenna Fitzpatrick appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with any information, to contact CID at Woodbourne police station on the non-emergency number 101, or to contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
