Two men aged 25 and 28 have been charged with robbery, false imprisonment and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
They are expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court later this morning.
The charges are in connection with an incident in the Thorndyke Street area of East Belfast on Saturday 29 August when a 29 year old man sufferd injuries to his head and hands after he was assaulted with a firearm.
The men were arrested yesterday following searches in the East Belfast and Donaghadee areas. A 35-year-old man also arrested remains in police custody at this time.
