Two women, both aged 23, have been arrested after the seizure of £10,000 worth of drugs in the Newry area.
They are suspected of possession of class A, B and C controlled drugs and possession of class A, B and C controlled drugs with intent to supply following the raid on the evening of Wednesday 20 May.
Police carried out a planned search of a house in the Richmond Court area about 6.15pm. A quantity of cash and drugs in tablet, liquid, powder and resin form were seized and the two women were arrested.
Chief Inspector Davy Beck said: “At this early stage, the intitial estimated value of the seized drugs is thought to be about £10,000. Local police are working hard to keep people safe in the area and this operation shows that where we suspect criminality is taking place, we will act proactively and decisively.
