A video showing the terrifying robbery ordeal of two young female shop assistants has been released by Ballymena detectives in the hope of identifying the robbers.
The CCTV footage was recorded at a filling station on Ahoghill’s Largy Road on November 26.
Detective Chief Inspector Catherine Magee said: “The footage demonstrates the violent intent of these two men. They have their faces entirely covered, but their height and shape may be familiar to someone. Also, their gait, stance and movements may provide a further clue as to their identity.
“Also, I would ask that anyone who may know anything about the robbery but has been reluctant to contact police up to now, takes a look at this footage. It was an extremely frightening ordeal for the two young female shop assistants involved.”
DCI Magee added: “These criminals were quite prepared to use violence and highly threatening behaviour to get their hands on till money. It is important that we keep people safe by bringing them before the courts.
“I would ask that anyone who may be able to assist our enquiries contact Ballymena detectives on 101. Information can also be passed anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
