A west Belfast man has appeared in court accused of having more than 40 rounds of ammunition.
James Murray was arrested during a police search operation near his Sorella Street home on Tuesday.
The 50-year-old entered the dock at Belfast Magistrates’ Court to face one charge of possessing 42 9mm rounds in suspicious circumstances.
Murray was granted bail to live at an agreed address in the city.
He must abide by an alcohol ban and report to police twice a week.
The accused is due back before the court next month.
Meanwhile, a second man detained during the same search operation was later released unconditionally.
