Woman among those hunted after gang attack house in east Belfast


A woman has been attacked after a gang carrying sticks forced their way into a house in east Belfast.

It happened in the Witham Street area shortly after 7pm on Thursday.

The victim suffered minor injuries and inside of the property was also damaged.

Police are hunting four men and a woman believed to have been involved.

The assailants fled the scene in a small yellow car and a silver people carrier-type vehicle.

PSNI Detective Sergeant Conor Sweeney has appealed for anyone with information to come forward on 101.
