A 50-year-old woman has been arrested by detectives from Serious Crime Branch investigating the murder of Kevin McGuigan in East Belfast on August 12.

The woman was arrested in Belfast today and has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim Police Station for questioning.

A PSNI spokesman said three men arrested on Wednesday - aged 45-years, 58-years and 59-years - remain in police custody.

They have been named in the media as senior republicans Bobby Storey, Eddie Copeland and Brian Gillen.
