Woman robbed in east Belfast home by masked intruders

Three masked men have stolen money and credit cards after forcing their way into the home of a woman during incident in east Belfast in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The aggravated burglary took place in the Grand Parade area around 12.30am.

The victim was confronted by the three men wearing masks and dark clothing as she returned home.

After demanding money, the men bound the woman’s hands and searched through the house.

They stole rings from her fingers.

The three men then left the house carrying two plastic carrier bags.

The victim was able to flag down a passing taxi driver who alerted police.

Detectives are appealing for any residents who may have seen the robbers as they entered or left the house to contact them.
