Dame Helen Mirren took a graceful stumble as she attended the premiere of her new movie, Woman in Gold, at a film festival in Berlin this week. Dame H appeared to trip in what she calls her ‘stripper heels’ as she tried to negotiate some red carpeted steps in her green Dolce and Gabbana gown.
Perhaps the actress should take some lessons from Michael Van Schoick. Michael plays Dave in a certain television advert.
Dave is so pleased with the savings he’s made on his car insurance, that he embarks on an epic strut through the streets wearing killer stilettos and denim shorts.
Each time this advert airs I’m fascinated by how this guy manages his twerking strut in those skyscraper heels.
Love it or hate it, no doubt you have also found yourself wondering if it’s really him doing the walk. Well wonder no more ladies.
I thought it was possibly produced with a woman’s rear and legs computer-generated onto his bottom half, but no, that mighty impressive walk is all done by the man himself.
He worked with a choreographer to perfect his strut but he did admit to a prosthetic jiggly piece being added to his own backside to get that Beyonce-esque booty, other than that the rest was all his own work, so now you know.
You can’t help but have a quiet respect for how Michael handles himself in heels.
Let’s face it ladies strutting in stilettos is no mean feat, even walking in them is difficult, ask Dame Helen!
