Strictly star Daniel O’Donnell has been told to “believe in himself” as he takes on the American Smooth for week four – lifts and all.
The Irish singing legend, who became Danny Zucko from Grease for last week’s performance, said he fears for partner Kristina Rihanoff’s safety.
Speaking on Strictly Come Dancing’s BBC 2 spin-off show It Takes Two, he said: “I’m a bit worried for Kristina because there are lifts and I’m afraid maybe come Sunday she won’t be alive. It’s not about the lifting, it’s the landing that’s the problem.”
However, Kristina said she was “proud” of her dancing partner.
“You need to stop listening to negative things and believe in yourself, because you are fantastic,” she said.
Strictly Come Dancing is on BBC 1 on Saturday night at 6.30pm.
