Mourne towers refurbished in £64,000 project

The stone towers which stand atop Slieve Donard, Commedagh and Meelmore have undergone maintenance and refurbishment work.

The towers run along the Mourne Wall and were built a century ago to protect workers from the elements.

NI Water, which owns the land on which the towers stand, said the £64,000 task is now complete.
