The landslide occurred on the Slieveanorra area between Ballymoney and the Antrim Coast.

Ballymoney Man Andy McCurdy’s journey was brought to a halt when he was on his way to visit with friends in Cushendun.

Hundreds of tonnes of peat and soil has come off the Mountain blocking the road.

It is expected that this road will be closed for some time.
