Five injured in Co Antrim crash

Five people are being treated in hospital and one man was arrested following a car crash in Co Antrim on Saturday morning.

One of the injured, a woman, is described as being in a serious condition.

The crash happened on the Ballybogy Road in Ballymoney close to its junction with Oldtown Road shortly after 5am on Saturday.

Three men and two women were in the vehicle.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a number of motoring offences and subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police would appeal to anyone who was travelling on the Ballybogy Road this morning and who witnessed the collision to contact officers in Coleraine on the non-emergency number 101.
