Video: Prognosis for ebola nurse is ‘good’

Scottish heath chiefs have said the prognosis for the Scottish health worker diagnosed with ebola is “good”.

Speaking at a press conference, Dr Alisdair MacConnachie, consultant in infectious diseases at Gartnavel General Hospital and Dr Syed Ahmed, clinical director at Health Protection Scotland said they came to that prognosis as she has presented only mild symptoms.

Dr Syed Ahmed said they have a “robust” screening process for health workers returning from ebola infected countries in West Africa and that the Scottish public appear reassured that their infection control measures are working.
