Officers from the PSNI’s Legacy Investigation Branch said the 59-year-old has been detained on suspicion of the murder of the 10 Protestant workmen who were taken from their minibus and shot by the side of the road.

The sectarian atrocity was found to have been carried out by the IRA although the republican group has never admitted responsibility.
