A man has died following a collision on the Tirkeeran Road in Garvagh, Co Londonderry, this morning.
The male pedestrian was involved in a collision with a Volkswagen Caddy van at around 7.40am.
Inspector Donna Bowden said she believed the pedestrian was 20-years-old.
The young man is the 62nd person to die on Ulster’s roads this year.
This time last year 71 people had been killed on our roads.
“We are asking any witnesses to the collision to get in touch with police. The number to call is 101,” added Inspector Bowden.
