A large haul of suspected class A drugs has been uncovered in Belfast.
The consignment, estimated to be worth £180,000, was discovered in the Kilcoole Park area of north Belfast on Friday evening just after 6pm.
A 56-year-old man was charged on Sunday with being concerned in the production of class A controlled drugs, being concerned in the supply of class A controlled drugs, possessing class A controlled drugs with intent to supply, and possession of a class C controlled drug.
Detective Chief Inspector Colin Gillis said in a statement that a number of mobile phones had also been seized.
He said: “I know tackling the scourge of drugs is something the local community want us to focus on and this operation highlights our determination to do so.”
