Man in critical condition after Carryduff crash

A man is this morning in a critical condition in the Royal Victoria hospital following a two-car crash in Carryduff last night.

The crash collision happened yesterday shortly after 9pm on the Ballynahinch Road, between the Drumalig Road and Carr Road.

A spokeswoman from the Belfast Trust said: “One patient is in a critical condition and another is in a stable condition.”

This morning police appealed for witnesses to the collision.

A PSNI spokesman said: “Police received a report of the collision, between the Drumalig Road and Carr Road, shortly after 9pm. A number of people received treatment for their injuries and one man remains in a serious condition in hospital as a result of the collision.

“Police are appealing for anyone who was travelling on the Ballynahinch Road last night and who witnessed the collision to contact officers in Lisburn Police Station on 101.”
