A car crash in Co Antrim on Sunday has left two men hospitalised – one in a critical condition.

The single-vehicle crash happened on the Kilraughts Road, to the eastern side of Ballymoney, during the early hours of the morning.

At around 12.20am it was reported that a blue coloured Mitsubishi had been involved in a collision.

The two men who were taken to hospital were both in their 20s. Both were taken to the Causeway Hospital.

Police initially described their injuries as “serious”.

By 4pm, the Northern Health Trust said that one was stable and had been transferred to Altnagelvin, while the other was critical and remained in the Causeway Hospital.

He was later transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital and as of 11pm, he remained in a critical condition.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
