A 35-year-old man is to appear on Friday morning after the discovery of a £27,000 cannabis factory yesterday.

He is facing a number of charges including criminal damage, handling stolen goods and another 10 offences including cultivating cannabis and possessing a class B controlled drug with intent to supply. He is due to appear at Londonderry Magistrates Court.

As is normal procedure, all charges are reviewed by the PPS.

It is believed charge follows a search at a house by the District Support Team in the Lansdowne Road area of Londonderry yesterday afternoon where a cannabis factory was found.

At this time it is believed that controlled drugs worth an estimated street value of £27,000 were seized.
