Forensic officers are on the scene in Co Tyrone as they try to establish what caused the death of a man found lying by the side of the road.

The man’s body was found at 4am on Saturday morning on Mountjoy Road at Killeen Village near Coalisland.

It is understood the body has now been removed from the scene.

Inspector Neil Beck said, “The man’s body was found lying in the road at around 4am this morning.

“We are currently working to establish the circumstances surrounding the death and I would appeal to anyone who was travelling in the area in the early hours of this morning and who may have noticed anything which could assist us with our enquiries to contact police in Dungannon on 101.”
