Accept that from the moment you are born that your a sinner

Romans Chapter 5 Verse 12: '˜Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and already passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.'

A Roman catholic colleague once told me that he never remembered doing anything wrong from his childhood days to anyone that he knew. He said that he didn’t drink alcohol, didn’t smoke, didn’t curse, was a regular attendee to his place of worship so why he asked would he not be one of God’s chosen few to be in Heaven when he would close his eyes in death.

The answer is very simple. Just as simple as is the solution to get to Heaven. Mankind, man/woman, are born a sinner owing to the sin of one man (Adam) as quoted in the above text.

God is a Holy and Righteous God and cannot accept man/woman as God’s son died on the cross, took the punishment for our sin that we through the shedding of his blood would come to know him as our personal Saviour.

To be saved from his wrath on the day of judgement.

Ezekiel Chapter 33 Verse 11: ‘Say unto them, as I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live; turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel.’

So what does all this mean and how does a man/woman get saved?

Accept that from the moment you are born that your a sinner, confess it to the Lord in prayer, ask him into your heart, read his word daily, find fellowship in a Bible believing church and not just only know about Jesus but know him as your personal Saviour.

He has promised that he will never leave you nor forsake you. Genesis Chapter 6 Verse 3: ‘And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man.’

May that be a long way off when the Spirit of the Lord Jesus stops speaking to mankind.

If you reject his call here on earth he will reject you when you close your eyes for the last time in death.
