Another career door closed to those who have a meaningful faith

The case of the florist asked by a customer to send an offensive message with a bouquet (Letters, November 1) is only one of many scenarios in which Christians now find themselves actually or potentially under persecution by the Equality Commission.

I have a young student friend who had hoped to one day have her own law practice here in Northern Ireland. She’s not so sure now as she could, seemingly, be compelled to defend in court what in her mind is morally and biblically indefensible.

So that’s another career door closed to those who have a meaningful faith.
